Following the announcement of job openings across several departments by the Technical University of Mombasa, Kenyans now have the opportunity to land permanent positions with pension benefits.
The institution posted employment openings for teachers, legal officers, and registrars in a notification dated Tuesday, November 29.
Those who are hired will receive a monthly wage that is determined by their job grades.
The application will be accepted until Tuesday, December 13, 2022. There are now 18,622 students attending the university, along with 601 employees.

Interested applicants were advised to access the advertisement and detailed descriptions of the requirements of the positions posted in the University Website at www(dot)tum(dot)ac(dot)ke.
The application should include an up-to-date Curriculum Vitae (CV) providing details of age, academic and
professional qualifications, work experience, current designation, current salary and email address.
Other details include a telephone, name and contacts of three referees knowledgeable about the applicant’s competence, a copy of the National Identification Card, copies of relevant certificates and testimonials.
Interested candidates with foreign Academic Qualifications are advised to submit a Certificate of Recognition from the Commission for University Education (CUE).
The university issued a warning that the details of the academic and professional certificates not obtained by the closure of the advert would not be considered.
Upon offer of employment, the successful candidates shall be required to provide valid clearance certificates from government bodies including the Kenya Revenue Authority, Higher Education Loans Board, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Registered Credit Reference Bureau.

“Interested applicants should send six (6) copies of their application for the above positions. Applications containing false information shall be disqualified,” read part of the notice.
The applications and recommendation letters ought to be addressed to the Vice Chancellor’s official address.
