The Chief Executive Officer of the Teachers Service Commission, Nancy Macharia has recently made a move to transfer some 17 teachers forcefully to for resisting TPDs to terror prone zones.

Teachers on social media are complaining, terming Madam Nancy as an inhuman, for making such an inconsiderate decision. Below is the list of the 17 teachers who got transferred.

  • Kevine Okoth – Turkana
  • Benard Ameyo – Laikipia

  • Felix Osutsi – Kwale
  • Fanuel Ambole -Tana River
  • Hanningtone Omondi – Samburu
  • Belsy Ochieng’ – Isiolo
  • Janerose Gitonga – Tana River
  • Wasingo Kennedy – Turkana
  • John Ndambi – Isiolo
  • Mbau – Keiyo Marakwet
  • David Korimet Ameta – Laikipia

Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi has accused the woman Nancy of using job transfers as a weapon, and that her strategy will not succeed. Nyakundi further explains that the move by the TSC CEO should be investigated and reasons given as to why she made the inconsiderate and heartless decision.

Nancy has been accused of increasing the bureaucracy of that oppresses teachers, by increasing TPD and cruel transfers.

The Teachers Service Commission had previously admitted that its premises have been infiltrated by cartels and rogue staff who control processes such as recruitment, promotions and transfers. These cartels have been accused of controlling retirement by withholding teacher pensions.

Despite the complaints made and suggestions made to solve the issue, no major decision has been made to rescue the situation at hand. The impacted teachers have since made statements saying that the bureaucrats harassing teachers should be discontinued and the committee be disbanded.

Nancy Macharia has however no given any other notice regarding the complaints filled by the Kenyan teachers and there are  low chances that the situation will be addressed any time soon.
