Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho who is the Odm deputy party Leader and his counterpart National Assembly Minority Whip Junet Mohamed have flown to Dubai to see Raila Odinga.
In a tweet which was shared by the flamboyant Governor himself On his Twitter account stated that they have set off to Dubai to see ailing Odinga.
The former Premier underwent the surgery last week after admission to the facility based in the UAE.
The family spokesman Dr Oburu Odinga who also happens to be the EALA member of Parliament stated that Raila underwent a minor back surgery, a statement that was conflicted with that of Raila’s wife Ida Odinga who said he underwent a mild minor surgery on the leg.
It’s also noted that the ODM Deputy Party Leader Hassan Joho said he had spoken to Raila and he was in good spirits and doing well after the procedure. This was through a statement which was shared to newsrooms and this is what he had to say, “I had the opportunity to speak to my party leader and my father the Baba of the nation. I feel happy and encouraged that he is progressing well. He has undergone a procedure. Let us not forget that even our leaders are human beings. Sometimes they get sick and are treated. I have no doubt that within the shortest time possible, Baba will be back in Kenya,” Joho narrated.
Earlier last week his daughter Winnie Odinga who accompanied him to Dubai for the surgery shared a vedio of him on her Twitter account stating he is strong and doing fine.
This move by Governor Joho and Junet Mohammed who are close confidants of the former Premier is perceived to instruct the leaders how to handle the matters BBI and ODM party affairs since earlier through the week, was a stand off between the ruling party Jubilee and the ODM party where they did not agree on the names to be tabled concerning various house committees leadership.
