The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has issued guidelines on the registration of 2023 KCPE and KCSE exams.

KNEC CEO David Njengere the registration of candidates will kick off on February 1 to March 31, 2023.

Njengere urged schools to complete the process before the deadline noting that the examination process starts at the registration stage and therefore schools should ensure all the candidates are registered.

“We are opening the portal from the 1st of February to the 31st of March. Kindly make sure all the eligible candidates are registered,” he said

Njengere further lauded the KNEC staff for successfully administering five national exams in the last year.

In 2022, KNEC administered two KCSE exams and two KCPE exams as well as the KPSEA exams.

A move necessitated by the Covid-19 pandemic that led to the closure of schools hence affecting the normal school calendar.

“Last year KNEC staff administered five exams. This is totally unprecedented in the history of this country. These persons have worked without holidays and weekends. It is only fair that we appreciate the members of staff of KNEC.”
