KMTC Meru Campus is situated within Meru county approximately 242km from Nairobi city, Nairobi-Meru highway . It is situated one kilometer off Meru Town adjacent to Meru Teaching and Referral Hospital. It was established in 1979 as a school of nursing to train enrolled community health nursing. In 1987 the need for expansion arose and the medical engineering school was established to train technicians for maintenance of the hospital equipment.Initially the two schools operated indipendently with funding from the ministry of health.In 1993 the two schools merged to cut down operational costs hence forming KMTC-Meru Campus.In 1999 the nursing department was upgraded to train diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing.

Population
The current population stands at 820 with expectations of rising in the upcoming intake .
Clubs and Societies
The campus participates in the basket ball which the ladies won the national trophy in 2014.Rugby 7’s and 14’s up to national level.Other games include Netball, Volleyball, Football, Badminton, Handball and Darts.The campus has the following registered clubs:
