Newest rapper in town Diana Marua is scaling to greater heights despite intense criticism she received after her debut into the music industry. Diana, the wife to Kevin Bahati, a renown kenyan musician, released her first song ‘Hatutaachana’ a few days ago. Her song is close to hitting a million views on YouTube despite Kenyans’ condescending attitude.
Many kenyans were sceptical on whether Diana would be able to balance her music with vlogging and influencing. Expressing their views on Twitter, many Kenyans seemed to be reading from the same page that the chances of Diana’s success in the music industry was dangling by the thread as juggling music with vlogging and influencing, in which the she has already established herself in the latter two, would be a herculean task.
However, barely a week after her first song, Diana’s star has shined brightly as she has been on record saying that her weekend has been booked. The rising star, who was said that it will cost event managers and promoters KSh. 850,000 to book her for a show, has already earned herself a performing chance in the newest city in the country this weekend, Nakuru City.
On her Twitter page minutes ago, Diana marua has shared a poster of a show she is set to perform in Bahati,Nakuru City. She wrote ” This Saturday I’ll be performing my first show in Nakuru, Bahati constituency. #Diana B on this.”
Diana’s husband Kevin Bahati was caught in record saying that his wife already has four songs complete with videos awaiting release. He said that the debut video, hatutaachana was meant to serve as a litmus test for the market. He added that this was an executive decision reached upon by EMB Records, a recording label which he owns and which Diana subscribed to. The sky is the limit for this rising star.
