The Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec) has given ECDE teacher candidates till 15th March to register for exams based on subjects which they failed.
Knec released results for 2021 ECDE Diploma and Certificate candidates and immediately issued the timelines for candidates to register for resits.
The 2021 candidates are the last lot to sit for the ECDE Certificate and Diploma courses under 8.4.4 curriculum.
Those who will register for referrals will sit for the registered papers in July 2022. A timetable will also be released by Knec to guide the resits.
According to the examiner anyone who has ever had a referral should register for a resit as this will be the last registration for all referrals.
Knec says there will be no other window to register for referrals once the deadline sets as they will be done with the 8.4.4 system and allow the new curriculum to take root.
