As we know the new education curriculum changed the primary National examination from Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) to Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA).
As a result the Kenya National Examination Commission has recently cautioned teachers countrywide to be careful when registering grade six pupils
As per to reports, teachers are required to provide correct details for the learners with special needs to the examination board so that to prevent future problems on registered details.
Directions from KNEC also indicate that teachers are supposed to categorize children with special needs and register their details according to the instructions that was provided.
The information will be used to know the number of pupils with special needs, those with poor background and those requiring urgent assistance in their respective schools.
KNEC registration exercise will be expected to end on 14th May 2022. This means that school heads have few days remaining to register their schools.
